Marilyn McHugh

Marilyn Louise McHugh, age 73, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 29, 1951, to Ralph and Mary "Rose" Hoefener (nee Marshall). 

Marilyn graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1973 with a bachelor of science mathematics degree and a minor in business. She used her business degree to work in Medical Coding and Billing at St. Luke's Hospital for over 40 years.

Marilyn married Kevin Arthur McHugh on June 27, 1981. They were married for 43 years. 

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved to read and do puzzle books when she got the chance. Her favorite color was orange. She loved watching the hummingbirds outside the front window. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Ralph William Hoefener, mother, Mary Rosary Hoefener, and nephew Robert Louis Stevenson IV. 

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Kevin; daughters, Colleen (John) Herrmann and Kimberly (Jeremy) Badolato; grandchildren, Zackery, Ian, Ezra, and Aliza Badolato; sister, Linda (Robert III) Stevenson; sister-in-law Peggy (the late Glenn) Strachan; brother in laws, the late Lawrence (Virginia) McHugh, and Thomas (Karen) McHugh; 7 nephews, 3 nieces and host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday July 29, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. 

Mass will be on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 10:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3130 Parkwood ln. Maryland Heights, MO 63043
