Marilyn J. Son, age 96, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 19, 1926 to Harrington and Florence Gagnon (nee Hubbell).
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herman F. Son, to whom she was married for almost 37 years, and husband by first marriage, Robert W. Westlake, to whom she was married for 23 years.
She is survived by her children, Holly (Richard) Rumph, Carol (Stanton) Hassebrock, and Robert (Mary Jo) Westlake; step-children, Emelle Sonh and Randal (Jacque) Son; grandchildren, Amy (Curtis) Talcott, Todd (Steff) Hassebrock, Stephanie (Kelly) Edmonds, Joshua (Morgan) Rumph, and Lauren (Erick) Castille; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sister, Carol (the late George) Burrows. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, especially her amazing Fourposter neighbors who gave her years of care, friendship, and support.
Marilyn enjoyed a career at Gundaker Realtors with her husband, Herman. Previously she worked at Porter Paints and Sherwin Williams. She was a longtime member of the Sweet Adelines in Naperville, Illinois, and Kirkwood, Missouri. Marilyn sang, played the piano, and loved music her entire life.
