Mark Schenk, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend passed away on November 20, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on December 17, 1947, Mark dedicated over 30 years of his career as a surgical instrument maker, a profession that reflected his precision and care for detail.
Mark was known for his quiet demeanor, yet those closest to him will remember his quirky personality and unique sense of humor. He enjoy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in watching his sons, Kevin and Christopher, play hockey. He also loved to share memorable moments with his family at Blues games, where his spirit truly shined. In addition to these family activities, Mark took great delight in his trout fishing trips to Montauk State Park, where he relished the tranquil beauty of nature.
As a talented artist, Mark had a remarkable ability to draw anything placed before him. His artistic skills were not only a personal passion but also a way he connected with his community. Mark generously volunteered his time at local nursing homes, where he guided residents in art projects, bringing joy and creativity into their lives.
Mark was especially proud of the two sons he raised alongside his devoted wife, Donna Schenk. Their family bond was a source of pride and happiness for him. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Schenk; sons, Kevin Schenk, and Christopher (Amanda) Schenk; sister, Madonna Minch; and a host of other family members and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Schenk; father, Norbert Schenk; brothers, Thomas Schenk and Larry Schenk; and brother-in-law, Jerry Minch.
