Marlette Shamaine Foy Williams, 48, born in Wheeling, WV, formerly of Columbia, SC, most recently O'Fallon, MO transitioned Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St Louis, MO. She was born December 21, 1971 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of Marva J. Foy Woody and Kenneth Watson.
She was educated in Wheeling, WV and graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1990. While attending WPHS she joined the Army Reserves. Marlette was a member of the National Honor Society while in High School. She was a graduate of West Virginia University with a Biology Degree in 1994. She pledged Omicron Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority with thirteen other women at West Virginia University April 14, 1993.
She studied nursing at Wheeling Jesuit University and graduated with a BSN in 1998. She graduated from University of South Carolina School of Medicine with a CRNA Degree in 2005. She worked at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia, SC from June 6, 2005 until June 6, 2013. She was a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital from 2013 until her transition on February 19, 2020.
Major Marlette Foy Williams retired from the United States Army 874th FST February 16, 2020.
Marlette worked and lived for her children, who were involved in softball, gymnastics, volleyball and various other sports.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Leroy and Estelle Foy, and William and Rosetta Watson, her uncle Theodore D. Foy and her husband Timothy Williams on April 3, 2010. Left to cherish her memory are the Williams family in S.C. and Atlanta. She is survived by her daughters; Khia Cymone Williams, Fallon Denae Williams, Logan Marie Bruni, all of O'Fallon, MO and step-son Donte' Williams of North Carolina, and sister Nichole Watson, Milwaukee,WI.
Marlette is survived by her mother, Marva J Foy Woody and her companion Terry L. Gosa of Columbia, S.C.
She is also survived and cherished by her caring and loving fiancé Jacob E. Bruni and daughter Addison. His mother Nora Bruni, sister, Gina Jackson and her son Peter Jackson.
Survived by her uncles William C. Watson Jr. (Rosalind-deceased), Gary Watson and cousin William "Billy" Watson III, Steubenville, OH, also survived by her uncles Leroy A. Foy Jr. (Betsy) Gilbert, AZ, Larry E. Foy, Wheeling, WV. Also survived by her aunts; Janet M. Stephens, Columbia, SC, Phyllis E. Miles, Wheeling, WV. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She is survived by her dogs, Tillie and Prince and cats, Kitty, Jasmine and Ariana.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 1:00 ~ 5:00 PM, with a memorial service at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO.
