Martha Emmline Chaney

February 19, 1924 — December 25, 2021

Martha Emmline Chaney, age 97, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky on February 19, 1924 to Romie and Mae Thweatt (nee Brewer).

Martha was a beloved mother, great friend, and was well liked by all. She was born in Paducah KY in 1924. She later moved to St. louis and finally settled in Florissant MO. Martha was involved in many organizations which included the VFW where she served as the ladies auxiliary president, Cooties, and the American legion. Martha had many interests and hobbies which included gardening and flowers, loved to go fishing, and loved to be outside any chance she could. She was the life of the party and full of energy. She worked hard and provided a great life for all her kids. She was a selfless person and would do anything for anybody. Martha was the type of person who never had anything bad to say of others and would do without if it meant helping someone else. We have lost a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, but heaven has gained a true angel.

Martha is survived by her children, Norma C. Cuddy, Joseph P. (Teresa) Chaney, Thomas M. (Theresa) Chaney; her grandchildren, Richard J. Cuddy, Kathy C. (John) Donovan, Donald J. Cuddy, Cindy L. (Steven) Richards, Rachel L. (Gregory) Landgraf, Jacob P. Chaney, Lindsay M. Chaney, Lauren E. Chaney, and Alexandra N. (Matt) Adams; her great-grandchildren, Heather, Shawn, Kevin, Annabelle, Chase, Nichole, Steven, Stefany, Evan, Katelyn, Alexander, Ellie, and Lucas; and her great-great grandchildren, McKenzie, Cruz, Tucker, Rayland, Ethan, Ava, Logan, Austin, Wyatt, and Hunter. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
