Martha R Igou

Martha R. Igou, age 92, of Festus, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 in Festus, Missouri. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 22, 1925 to the late Frank and Emily Russell (nee Foster ). Martha was a registered nurse for 40 years. She was married to the late Bert S. Igou for 17 years before he died April 13, 1967.

Martha was a volunteer for National Alliance For Mental Illness and a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ferguson, Missouri.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne (Phillip) Gebhardt of Festus, MO and Emily C. (Robert) Bloor of Saint Peters, MO; sons, Craig S. (Marilyn) Igou of St. Charles, MO and Randy T. (Twanna) Igou of Florissant, MO; grandchildren, Rod Stone, Joseph (Tabitha) Oberender, Sarah (Jake) Beckmann, Samantha Igou and Martha Igou and other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with Ben Powers officiating. Visitation will be held before the service at 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to Mercy Hospice 1000 Des Peres Rd. Suite 200 St. Louis, Missouri 63131. There will be a Life Celebration following the service - directions will be given at the Funeral Home the day of service.
