Marvin J. Nolle

October 28, 1928 — July 15, 2022

Marvin Julius Nolle, age 93, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 15,
2022 in Saint Peters, Missouri.  He was born in Saint Charles, Missouri on October 28,
1928 to Martin and Lena Nolle (nee Stovesand).

Marvin, a gentle and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was also
known to be a great steward of the land. Born and raised on the family's dairy farm,
Marvin developed a keen respect for nature and all its bounty. When he was called
from that farm, he dutifully joined the United States Army and served as a missile
instructor during the Korean War. He made a living for his family as a tireless worker,
and proudly served in the Teamsters Union until his retirement in 1989. In his free
time, he enjoyed being with his family, raising vegetables, tinkering and camping. He
cherished the memories, friends and stories made when camping at Kentucky Lake and
on the Black River in Lesterville, Missouri. Above all else Marvin was a devout Christian.
He was one of the founding members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Charles,
Missouri. Throughout the years he served the congregation on various boards and held
numerous offices at the church. He will be dearly missed by many family members,
friends and all that knew him.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Martha S. (Doyle) Williams; his son, Craig M.
(Kathy) Nolle; his granddaughter, Kelly D. (Greg) Fischer; grandson, Eric K. (Toni)
Williams and their son, Aydin; granddaughter, Lauren E. Nolle (Zach Jones) and their daughter Brinley E. Jones; granddaughter, Madison C. Nolle; and his sisters, Jeannette Bekebrede and Ruth Hunning.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion M. Nolle; his father, Martin E. Nolle; his
mother, Lena Nolle; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Bekebrede and Richard Hunning.

The family will honor Marvin with visitation and service at Our Savior Lutheran Church,
2800 Elm Street in St. Charles. Both will be held Friday, July 22. Visitation will be from
9:00-10:00 am with the service following immediately thereafter. Burial will be at
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Saint Charles.
