Mary Anne Russell Fortner, age 83, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 in Saint Peters, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 10, 1938 to Alfred and Bernice Vogt (nee Lynch).
Mary Anne is survived by her children, Mary Russell, Sue (Dave) Walter, and Daniel (Sharon) Russell; grandchildren, Jim (Molly) Ebel, Lauren (Dallas) Davis, Alie (Sean) Lind, Chris Walter, and Brendan Russell; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ebel, Anthony Ebel, Claire Davis, Pearl Davis, Kaden Lind, and Millie Lind; and brother, Fr. Richard Vogt.
She was preceded in death by her husband by first marriage, William Russell, her husband by second marriage, William Fortner, her son, Michael Russell, and her parents, Alfred and Bernice Vogt.
Mary Anne was a parishioner of St. Cletus Catholic Church. She loved playing Bridge, enjoyed bowling, and in her younger years she enjoyed playing volleyball with her husband, Bill. Mary Anne also loved having lunch with friends, reading mystery books, and playing board games with family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Mary Anne was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
