Mary Lee Brennan

October 28, 1939 — May 12, 2019

Mary Lee Brennan, age 79, of St. Charles, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 28, 1939 to Ralph and Sylvia Sellers (nee Ritter).
Mary Lee is survived by her daughters, Eileen Brennan, Michelle (James) Hewett, Bridget (Thomas) Yurachek, and Colleen (Craig) Brennan; brother, Donald (Loretta) Sellers; sister, Patricia Sellers. She will be missed by her longtime and dear friend, Edward Brennan, along with 17 Grandchildren and 25 Great-Grandchildren and a host of family members and friends.

Mary Lee was a Seafood Clerk for more than 20 years with Dierbergs Markets. She had also previously worked in the family business, Greater Midwestern Gold and Silver Exchange, and as a teacher at St. Charles Borromeo and North American Martyrs schools.
She also had many accomplishments in her lifetime of which she was very proud. Mary Lee was a pioneer in starting the St Charles Local Auxiliary to the UFPC in July of 1966. She was a National Officer with the American Postal Workers Auxiliary; she was President of MPWU Auxiliary, President of the St. Charles Local Auxiliary, and Editor of the Auxiliary Spirit and Show Me Sister, for which she won numerous awards. Mary Lee loved to travel, especially to the beaches on the east and west coasts, and to Las Vegas. She enjoyed cross-country road trips, and spending time with family.
She was passionate about her desire to serve others. In October of each year, rain or shine, she and her dear friend Lorie Davis participated in the Old Newsboys Day tradition in the St. Charles area, in order to help fundraise for local children's charities. She delivered thousands of individual meals she prepared at home for Meals on Wheels for many years. Mary Lee also contributed to numerous charities throughout the year. The Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis was very close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Sellers; mother, Sylvia Sellers (nee Ritter); two brothers, Ralph (Martha) Sellers Jr., and Richard (JoAnn) Sellers; sister, Elizabeth (Charles) Adcock; and son, Kevin (Diana) Brennan.
