Mary Ellen Dey

Mary Ellen Dey, age 94, of Webster Groves, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Webster Groves, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri, on July 21, 1922 to Perle Otis and Eula Grace Taylor (nee Shaner ). Mary Ellen was a graduate of Bonne Terre High School. She married John Rhuliff Dey, on March 31, 1944 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death April 19, 1989. Mary Ellen was a wife, mother and homemaker who loved taking care of her family, playing the organ and piano, singing, quilting, animals and her Christian faith.

Mary Ellen is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ann Dey of Webster Groves, Missouri and Jonna Sue Krueger (Mark) of St. Peters, Missouri; four grandsons: Grant Douglas Krueger (Elizabeth) of St. Peters, Benjamin Andrew Krueger (Kelly), of Eureka, Missouri, Christopher Alan Krueger (Alissa) of Eureka, Missouri and Timothy Paul Krueger (Jessica) of St. Peters, Missouri; 7 Great-grandchildren, Brianna, Reece, Ella, Rowan, Quinn, Liv, and Mackenzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant brother David Shaner, and a sister, Nelda Ruth Braswell.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with Rev. Robert Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
