Mary Beth Homyk

August 23, 1946 — February 4, 2025

Wright City, Missouri

Mary Beth Homyk, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 4, 2025, at the age of 78, in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Born on August 23, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Beth touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and infectious joy, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness and compassion.

Mary Beth dedicated over two decades of her life to Moog Automotive before embracing retirement, where she found more time for the passions that filled her heart. She was a true embodiment of selflessness, known for never meeting an enemy and treating everyone like family. Her friendly and loving nature allowed her to connect with anyone she encountered, a testament to her genuine personality that resonated with so many. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her silliness, her laughter, and her ability to find joy in the smallest moments.

Mary Beth cherished spending time with her beloved children, Shelly (Randy) Halford and Michael O'Brien, finding pride in every moment spent with them. Her grandchildren, Jacob Halford, Daniel Halford, and Kara Beth Halford, were the twinkle in her eye, and she often spoke of them as her proudest accomplishments. Each visit with her grandbabies was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

Her interests were as vibrant as her spirit; she loved gardening and traveling, always finding peace and purpose in nurturing plants as much as she did in nurturing relationships. Mary Beth held a special place in her heart for her Church family, where she actively participated, reflecting her dedication to service through countless hours of volunteering.

Mary Beth is now reunited with her loving husband, Frank Homyk, who preceded her in death, along with her dear parents, Clyde and Thelma Schmidt, and her cherished siblings, Doris Walton, Jackie Iocca, Elaine Rowland, and Juanita Farina. She also rejoices in eternal union with Larry O'Brien, the devoted father of her children.

As those who loved her continue to reflect on the cherished memories they've shared, they take comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will forever guide their hearts. Mary Beth leaves a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and boundless kindness that will inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will illuminate their lives as they seek to carry forward her gentle spirit in all they do.
