Mary Virginia (nee Feldkamp) Lockett, age 93, of St. Louis, Missouri passed peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024. She was born in Palmyra, Missouri on February 23, 1931 to Edwin and Frieda Feldkamp (nee Lehenbauer).
Beloved wife and best friend for over 64 years to the late James Franklin Lockett. Loving and devoted mother of Sherri (Dick) Turner, Jim (Patty) Lockett, the late Jerilyn (Rusty) Overstreet, Edie (Gene) Amico, and Wendelin (Jeff) Lockett-Funnell. Dearest grandmother to 7, great-grandmother to 4; cherished by a host of other family members and friends.
Virginia was a selfless, kind and loving person, always with a smile and kind word to others, the first to offer a helping hand. She was a dedicated Lutheran Elementary School teacher for 32 years, an avid reader, enjoyed walking, exercising, sharing a glass of wine, loved to travel with Frank in their RV and spend time with family and friends. She lived her life and faith quietly, consistently and joyfully, and had a profound impact on so many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
