Matthew Thomas Stack

Matthew Thomas Stack, Sr. (Tom), of St Charles Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 21, 2019 at age 92. Loving husband of the late Marian L. (Poeschel) Stack, devoted father of Kathleen (Gene) Coenen, Matthew Jr. (Denise), Michael (Susan), Mary (Tim) Loy, Tom (JoAnn), Theresa (Adam) Hembree, Mark (Susan), Margaret (Jim) Lottes, Ann (Steve) Stoverink, Paul (Karen) and Patrick (Sherry). Cherished grandfather of 34 and great grandfather of 40. Cherished uncle to many. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
Matt (Tom) was a retired salesman, raised his family in St Casimir's Parish, and was a member of 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Friend to many of his St. Joseph Cottleville Parish family, which meant the world to him. He loved singing, history, the St. Louis Cardinals, and was a stickler for proper grammar. He was a mentor to all his children and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 9:00 ~ 10:30 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, in Cottleville, MO. Mass will start at 10:30 am at the church. Burial will follow at Our Lady Cemetery in Lake St Louis. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Agnes Home in Kirkwood, MO or to the St Joseph Parish.
