Maureen Katherine Azzam, age 40, of Chesterfield, Missouri departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 24, 2023. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 31, 1982 to John and Mary Landgraf (nee Brennan).
"Mo", as she is known by those close to her, lived with an insatiable enthusiasm for life, entertaining people with her quirky stories and animated personality. She loved to host parties and was enthusiastic about celebrating holidays and birthdays.
Mo had a fierce love for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her siblings, and she was always doting on her nieces and nephews. Her kids, Kaitlin and Chris, were her world. She was so proud of them and was well known for the elaborate and original themed birthday parties she'd throw for them. And if you were ever at a sports game where you heard a woman who was louder than everyone else, that was Mo cheering on her kids.
Maureen cared deeply for others and it was no surprise when she chose nursing for a career, advancing to become a nurse practitioner. Although she paused working to raise her children, she never stopped using her abilities to help others and be the fill-in nurse whenever she was needed.
The world was a better place with her in it and to say she will be missed dearly, is a severe understatement. The impact she had on others, especially her family, is part of the great legacy she leaves behind.
Maureen is survived by her husband, Mark Azzam; children, Kaitlin and Chris Azzam; parents, John and Mary Landgraf; father and mother-in-law, Gabe and Barb Azzam (nee Schuengel); sisters, Meghan (Ryan) Hollrah, Erin (Tommy) Davidson, and Shannon Landgraf; brother, Sean Landgraf; brother-in-law, Mike (Sara) Azzam; and sister-in-law, Tina Azzam. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
