Maurice Hughes

Saint Charles- Maurice "Mo" Hughes , 51, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. He was born May 15, 1967 the son of the late Willie Woods and Sallie Mae Hughes. Maurice was the devoted husband to Kelly (Cunningham) Hughes.

Mo was a devoted family man known as a gentle giant with a contagious smile. He enjoyed grilling, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.

Maurice is survived by his wife: Kelly, his children: Maurice Hughes, Jr., Dominic Hughes, Kirsten Washington, Steven Pulliam, Steffan Hughes and one grandson: Jordan Johnson. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Peggy (Dale) Givens, Lillie "Anita" (Lindsey) Meeks, William "Keith" Woods, Patricia Woods and Pamela Woods, brother and sister in laws: Brian (Niki) Cunningham, Timothy (Anna) Cunningham, Bridget (Brett) Barker, Patrick Cunningham, many nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Saint Peters, Missouri. Funeral services will follow the visitation starting at 6:00 pm also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association 460 Lindbergh Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63141. The Repass will follow after the service. It will be held from 7pm - 12pm at the Knights of Columbus 20 Westbury Dr. St.Charles,MO 63303.
