Our beloved Melanie Joyce (Castillo) Fabianich, age 58, of, St. Charles, Missouri passed away on October 1, 2021. Melanie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 18, 1962, to Joyce Sansing (stepfather, Vern D. Sansing) and Jose (Luis) Castillo Sr. (father) of McDonough, Ga.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Mike Fabianich for 30 cherished years. Also, survived by her daughter Leah Ashley (Barton) Swygert (husband, David W. Swygert) and grand-daughter, Riley Alexis Swygert of McDonough, Ga. Sister, Sandra (Sissy) Leigh (Allen) Huie, Sister-In-Law, Mindy (Randy) Bailey, Nephew, Christopher Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Castillo Sr and two Brothers, Jose (Lynn) Luis Castillo, Jr. and Juan (Johnny) Ramons Castillo. Melanie will be dearly missed by many other family and friends.

Melanie went to Morrow, high school. She had a passion for dogs and absolutely adored and cherished her dogs, Pepper, Tucker, and Mollie. She was a loyal friend who was always willing to lend an extra hand to help someone in need. She had a contagious laugh that would light up a room. Her southern roots went with her wherever she went. Over the course of the last 3 years, she fought a hard battle with Melanoma cancer and her tenacity and strength to fight until the very end was courageous and brave. Her family and friends are forever proud of her!

Visitation will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals.
Funeral Service will be held at 12 pm
