Melvin Buerck

Melvin F. Buerck, 94, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born in McBride,MO on November 10, 1921 to Henry and Clara nee Schott Buerck.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Johanna G. Buerck nee Fizer on October 23, 2011.

Melvin is survived by: his daughter, Barbara A. Paluczak and her husband, Rick of St. Peters, Missouri; his son, Stanley M. Buerck and his wife, Phyllis of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jeff, Tim, Michelle, Stacy, and Eric; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilfred Buerck and sister, Helen Huighe, both of St. Louis; and a host of other family members and friends.

Melvin served with the U.S. Army during World War II receiving a Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. He was employed over 30 years with SKF/McQuay and was a member of All Saints Church in St. Peters, Missouri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at All Saints Church, St. Peters, Missouri with Father Robert Suit Officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Monday evening at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376 (636-875-1200). Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
