Michael Eugene Alcorn

Michael Eugene Alcorn, age 72, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on January 15, 1949 to Percy and Earline Alcorn (nee Ash).

Michael served in Vietnam as a United States Marine Corps Sgt. and belonged to the VMF/VMA-311 Alumni Association.

Michael graduated from Washington University while maintaining two jobs. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at Ameren for many years. His high ambition led him to begin his own successful wireless communications company. His family and colleagues admired his incredible work ethic.

Michael was married to Tari Alcorn for 48 cherished years. He loved having family game nights, working on projects with his kids, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He was a car enthusiast who worked 3 jobs as a youth to purchase a '67 Chevy Nova SS. He loved riding his custom-built Harley in his younger days and driving his Camaro later in life.

Michael is survived by his Wife, Tari Alcorn, Brothers, Steve Alcorn and Jim Williamson, Sisters, Becky Zykan and Peggy (Scott) Thornhill, Children, Amber (Kevin) Kargacin, Tyler (Kristie) Alcorn, Alicia (Anthony) Gabbard, Justin Alcorn, Adam Alcorn, Grandchildren, Brendan Veltman, Nathan (Mollie) Veltman, Kaden Kargacin, Gemma Gabbard, Gunnar Gabbard, Great-Grandchildren, Mila Veltman, Jade Veltman, and he will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Percy Eugene Alcorn; and Mother, Earline Alcorn.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals.

Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm (doors open at 11:00 am) Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals.

Military Honors and service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
