Michael C. High, Jr., age 29, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away suddenly on February 4, 2018 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born on May 21, 1988 in St. Charles, Missouri to Michael and Lorelei "Jan" (Hoekel) High. On January 9, 2016 Michael married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Laura (Ross) High. At the time of his passing, Michael was employed as a computer engineer for Diode Dynamics.
Michael enjoyed all kinds of cars especially his 1998 Camaro Z28 and his remote controlled car collection. He would spend his spare time playing video games with his buddies. Michael also had an appreciation for music and was a self-taught guitarist. Among his family and friends Michael was considered a true "grill master" and would constantly be experimenting with different kinds of barbecue rubs and sauces to the delight of his family and friends. Michael was the type of person that never met a stranger and would light up a room with his infectious personality and smile. Michael would prefer everyone to dress casual during his visitation and funeral.
In addition to his loving wife, Laura, and his parents, Michael, Sr. and Jan, Michael is survived by his sisters, Jennifer M. (Anthony) Frohnaur of Saint Charles and Michalle R. (Bruce) Stevens of Mountain View, AR; nieces, Ana Frohnauer, Katie Rose Coon, Addison and Katelyn Waychoff; nephews, James Frohnauer, Dane Frohnauer, Ryker Frohnauer, Heston Coon; Sister-In-Law, Stephanie (Richard) Waychoff and Father-In-law, Allen Ross and many friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca N. High; paternal grandparents, Carl J. and Dorothy A. (Johnson) High; maternal grandparents, Milton F. and Laverne L. Hoekel and his mother-in-law, Karla Ross and his brother-in-law Anthony Frohnauer.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, from 2:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 pm. with Deacon Pete Gounis officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
