Michael Mcguire

Michael J. McGuire passed away Friday December 21, 2018. He was 61 years old.

Mike was born in Pittsburgh on April 24, 1957. His parents are Ron and Beverly McGuire. Mike had four brothers and sisters, Mike being the oldest. Greg (Jill), Kathy (Frank), Peggy (Terry), and Sean (Holly).

Mike lived most of his childhood in Cleveland before moving to Louisville. Mike graduated from Trinity High School in 1975. He served proudly in the Coast Guard for 10 years. He then graduated from culinary school. Mike had been working for the last 13 years at Fairwinds Riversedge. He took great pride and joy cooking for others. It was his passion.

Family was everything to Mike. Mike married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Mary Jo on April 24, 1978. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. It will be hard to picture one without the other. They have three children, Erin Patrick (Nicki). Tara (Kassie) and Katie Angeline. They have 7 grandchildren. They are Gwen 16, Amelia 14, Mackinzey 12, Maddox 12, Olivia 9, Marley Jo 5 and Maggie 2. They also have welcomed four new members to the family. Gage, Gavin, Brody and Finley. Mike also was a proud uncle to 16 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother Greg.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 am at Saint Cletus Church, 2705 Zumbehl Rd, St Charles, MO 63301.

Interment will be private.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the McGuire family for an education fund for the grandkids.
