Michael Richard Stratmann

Michael Richard Stratmann, age 47, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on July 29, 1973 to Michael and Carla Stratmann (nee Thornburgh). He fought a courageous battle against Huntington's disease.
Michael was an amazing father to his three children, Ashley, Michael, and Abigail. He always enjoyed the time he got to spend with his family no matter the occasion. Michael loved sports, most notably the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. His mother will always remember the time Tim took her and his brother Michael to Game 7 of the 2011 World Series. In his prime, before Huntington's Disease robbed him of his abilities, he played many sports including: baseball, football, and street hockey. Michael will be remembered by his selfless character and his care for those he loved.
Michael loved fast cars and heavy metal music. He enjoyed going to concerts and festivals to hear his favorite bands and head bang the night away.
Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Carla and Joseph "Pete" Arriola; his children, Ashley Sierra Stratmann, Michael Joseph Stratmann, and Abigail Rosemary Stratmann; his granddaughter on the way, Oaklee Rose Way; his brother, Raymond N (Jodie) Arriola; his niece and nephew, Alexis and Radley Arriola. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge all of the family and friends who have traveled this journey with Michael. Of special note Barb and Ed Juettemeyer and family, John and Christine Thornburgh and family, Linda Collins and family and Sara Shepard.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Richard Stratmann Sr.; and his brother, Timothy James Stratmann.
A celebration of Michael's life will take place this summer.
