Michael Leonard Wright

Michael Leonard Wright, age 61, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on July 25, 1960 to John and Dorothy Wright (nee Marquart).
Michael served for several years in the United States Navy. After leaving the military, he returned to the St Louis area. Using the skills and knowledge initially developed in the Navy plus formal college education, Michael became an acknowledged expert in programming and automated machining, supporting the high-speed-printer-manufacturing and aerospace industries. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife, Jan. They traveled mainly to places in the West including: Utah and Wyoming. Michael enjoyed spending time hiking, hunting and fishing.
Michael is survived by his parents, John and Dorothy Wright; and his siblings, Linda (Tony) Nichols, Tom (Terry) Wright and Dan Wright. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Onchan "Jan" Wright.
A committal service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:30 am.
