Michael "Mike" K. Young, age 78, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Florissant, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 8, 1945 to Lawrence and Mary Young (nee Licato).
Mike was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend! Mike loved spending time boating on the Mississippi river, listening to live music, and spending time with friends and family. He worked 30 plus years at CPI corporation and played the drums as a second job. He was a fantastic musician and taught many along the way. Mike lost his sight at age 16; however, he never let it get in the way of anything he did. He lived a very successful life, provided and raised a beautiful family. Mike will be missed by everyone who knew him and will forever live in our hearts. Knowing he is with Jesus and can finally see his family and friends for the first time is comforting.
Michael is survived by his wife, Glenda Young; daughter, Amy (Patrick) Hohe; son, Scott Young; two grandchildren, Sean and Liam Hohe; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Marquess; and father, Lawrence "Red" Young.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
