Morio Shiroma, age 88, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Okinawa, Nago, Japan on May 7, 1929 to Moritake and Nabe Shiroma (nee Higa).
Morio was a Grocery Store Owner in Okinawa, before moving to the United States. He married the former Kikue Ahagon in Okinawa on May 7, 1952. Mario was very active in the Okinawa Lion's Club, and had been a Commissioner with The Boy Scouts in Okinawa.
Morio is survived by his wife, Kikue Shiroma of O'Fallon, MO; his children, Nanae (Kipplan) Hunter of St. Peters, MO, Morikazu Shiroma of O'Fallon, MO, and Morisane "Sunny" (Jim Grace) Shiroma of New York, NY; a sister, Asako Shiroma of Okinawa; a step-brother, Morihiro Shiroma of Okinawa; and grandchildren, Tashina (Huy ) Doan of Los Angeles, CA, Atraeu Hunter of St. Peters, MO, and Kina (Fiance' Josh Johnson) Hunter of Desoto, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Morimatsu Shiroma, Moriyasu Shiroma, Seinan Shiroma, and a sister, Yoko Nakamura.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Newcomer-St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with Pastor Yoshi Ubukata officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer St. Peters.
