Myron "Dale" Barley

Myron "Dale" Barley, born on January 2, 1950, in Washington, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He was a respected and cherished figure in his community, known for his unwavering commitment to the service.

Myron's dedication to his country was evident through his military service in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972. He not only served with honor but also became a founding member of the honor guard at AMVETS Post 106, which he helped establish in January 2000. His contributions to the veterans' community were exceptional and will be fondly remembered by those he served alongside.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Christina "Tina" (Donald Jr.) Baker; his son, David Barley; and his grandchildren, Taylor Baker, Kathryn (Nick) Loeffler, Dakota Baker, and Alyssa (Adam) Johnson. He also leaves behind a great-grandchild, Hadley Johnson. Additionally, Myron is also survived by his brother Dean (Kathy) Barley and his sister Faye Burgess.

Myron was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Barley; his mother, June Crollay; his father, Fayette Barley; his sister, Barbara Brengle; and his step-father, James Crollay.

Services honoring Myron's life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. The visitation will take place on January 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, starting at 1:30 PM.

Myron Barley's legacy of service will continue to inspire and resonate with all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
