Nancy Ann Dailey, lovingly known as "Gigi," was born on July 1, 1942, in Columbia, Illinois. She left this world peacefully on March 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Chesterfield, Missouri.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life revolved around those she cherished most. Her marriage to her beloved husband, Bill Dailey, was a partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for 37 beautiful years until his passing. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, a sanctuary where family gatherings were filled with joy and comfort.
Graduating from SS. Peter and Paul High School, Nancy carried with her the values of hard work and determination, which she instilled in her children, Kimberly (Eric) Tate and Craig (Melanie) Dailey. Much of Nancy's happiness came from the time spent with her family, and she dedicated her career to raising her children at home. Her descendants brought her immense pride and joy, and she was a constant source of strength and love for them. All four of her grown grandchildren, Charlie Tate, Lily Tate, Reagan Dailey, and Connor Dailey, have shared countless memories with their Gigi and still reach out to her regularly—a testament to the strong bond they shared.
Nancy's personality was characterized by her feisty spirit, a stubborn yet loving nature, and an infectious positivity that uplifted everyone around her. She had an innate ability to give advice that resonated deeply, carving a niche for herself as a confidante among her family and friends. Generosity was one of her defining traits, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word, making her a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her.
In her leisure time, Nancy found joy in playing cards with her friends, cooking delicious meals for her family, and indulging in her love for chocolate. Each moment spent with her loved ones brought her joy, creating a tapestry of memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Dailey, her parents Ray and Helen Bequette, and her siblings David and Janice Bequette. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and her dear siblings Patricia Vogel, Kathy Steppig, Sharon Odeh, and Stephen Bequette, who will honor her memory by carrying forward the values she exemplified throughout her life.
As we celebrate the life of Nancy Ann Dailey, we remember a woman whose unwavering love for her family lit up the lives of all who met her. Her kindness, humor, and fierce love will live on in the hearts of many. Rest in peace, dear Gigi; you have left an indelible mark on all of us.
