Nancy M. O'Keefe

March 12, 1942 — November 14, 2024

Ballwin, Missouri

Nancy M. O'Keefe, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 14, 2024, at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Born on March 12, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy lived a life filled with love, devotion and joy, always putting her family at the heart everything she did.

Nancy's strength and unwavering commitment to her loved ones were the hallmarks of her character. She was a woman of deep Catholic faith, who loved God and cherished the moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her pride in her family was evident; she often spoke fondly of her children, Judith (David) Richardson and Donald (Susan) O'Keefe, Jr., as well as her grandchildren Megan, Allison, Abigail, Madigan, and Daniel. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time with each, including dance recitals, sporting events, and graduations. She eagerly anticipated bringing her family together during the holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas were times of great joy in her home, filled with laughter, love, and the tradition of exchanging presents.

In addition to her roles as a mother and grandmother, Nancy found great joy in her hobbies. She spent many peaceful afternoons tending to her flower garden and expressed her creativity through ceramics. A dedicated sports fan, she had a passion for Cardinals baseball and shared her enthusiasm for football, which brought her joy while cheering for her favorite teams.

Nancy is survived by her loving daughter Judith (David) Richardson, son Donald (Susan) O'Keefe, Jr., grandchildren Megan Norman, Allison Norman, Abigail O'Keefe, Madigan O'Keefe, and Daniel O'Keefe, and her sister Joan (the late John) Holdman. She joins in eternal rest her husband Donald O'Keefe, Sr.; her parents Gregory Thurman and Lillian Jordan; and her brother Patrick Thurman.

Her life will be honored with a visitation on November 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Valley Park, Missouri. Burial will be private.

Nancy M. O'Keefe touched the lives of many with her kind spirit and genuine warmth. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
