Neil Joseph Hilke

On August 14, 2021, Neil Joseph Hilke, local golf professional, beloved brother and friend to many, passed away suddenly at the age of 61.

Neil was born on December 20, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Eugene and Virginia Hilke (nee Stack). He was fortunate to make a career at Norwood Hills Country Club for 20+ years. Neil enjoyed hanging with friends, playing golf and giving lessons at Norwood, being with family, running tour events and later in life, working at the family restaurant. It was obvious Neil loved his family, his friends and the kids at the pizza shop.

Neil was known for his grand entrances, his giving heart, and creating nick names for those he cared about, he even had a few for himself including Mr. Wonderful and Mr. Constantly Right.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Virginia Hilke (Stack) and survived by his siblings, Nancy Hilke, Linda Henning, Gene "Marty" (Lynne) Hilke, Karen Drozkowski and Donald (Debbie) Hilke: and many loved nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and countless friends.

There will be a Memorial Mass Wednesday, Sept. 1st at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church at 10:30am. A visitation for family and friends will start at 9:30am in the gathering area of the church prior to the start of mass.
