Nola M. Ponder, age 83, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Grandin, Missouri on June 19, 1936 to Roy and Rosella Wilson (nee Tubbs).
Nola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved sewing, flowers, fishing, bird watching, cooking, and spending time at their lake lot. Nola was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed to talk on the phone with her friends and family. Nola most of all loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids.
Nola is survived by her children, Ronald Eugene (Tracey) Ponder, Michael Alan Ponder, and Tina Darlene Ponder; her grandchildren, Kimberly Guignard, Jacob Ponder, Diana Ponder, Devin (Amy) Ponder, and Miranda Ponder; her great-grandchildren, Shelby (Stephen) Fischer, Justin Guignard, Savannah Ponder, Saya Ponder, and Daniel James Ponder, her daughter-in-law, Jenna Ponder, and family friends, Ed Ward, and Justin Lackey. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Ponder; her son, Danny Ponder; and her parents, Roy and Rosella Wilson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200) with Pastor Noel Stephens officiating. A funeral ceremony will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm. Interment will be private.
