Norine Thompson

Norine Thompson, age 77, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born in Louisiana, Missouri on January 2, 1945 to Lloyd and Ruth Kerns (nee Parrish).

Norine is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Lyle Thompson; brother, Cameron (Miriam) Kerns; sisters-in-law, Alma Mackin, Carol (Shelby) Hignight, and Debbie Lucas; and brother-in-law, Roger (Connie) Thompson. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Kerns; and brothers, Olin (wife Charlotte survives) Kerns, and Neal Kerns.

Norine enjoyed a 30 year teaching career, and especially loved teaching 5th grade. She retired in 1997 from Robinwood school in the Ferguson-Florissant school district. Norine also loved to travel, and she and her husband were able to visit all 50 states, and various locations in Canada and Europe. She also loved gardening, and spent many hours tending her flowers. Time spent outdoors walking her dogs Cara, Tisha, and Bingo was another favorite pastime, and she also enjoyed watching hummingbirds at her feeder.
