Norma Jean Dethrow

Norma Jean Dethrow, age 85, of Saint Peters, MO. passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Norma was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She had a passion for gardening and planting flowers, and would make her yard beautiful.

She was born in Thayer, MO on February 6, 1932 to the late Ray and Nova Holmes (nee Willard). Norma was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll Holmes and Billy Holmes.

Norma is survived by her children, Jimmy Dethrow of Overland, MO, David (Terry) Dethrow of Wentzville, MO, Rebecca (Ralph) Leon of O'Fallon, MO and Deborah (Ray) Whitman of Saint Peters, MO; the father of her children Dale Dethrow; grandchildren, Amy Dethrow, Kimberly (Doug) Rihanek, Ryan (Ali) Dethrow, Billy (Katie) Dethrow, Jennifer (Brian) Garbert, Rose Owens, Andy Love, Jesse Whitman, James Whitman and Olivia Whitman; great-grandchildren, Malik, Leslie, Trevar, Ari, Maddie, Audrey, Faith, Troy, Sam, Max, Conner, Brendan, Jeffery and Nova; sister, Shirley (Bob Glass) Crase of Harvester, MO, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 a.m. December 1, 2017 at Newcomer funeral home. Burial to follow service at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, St. Charles, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Norma's honor.
