Norma Frese, 95, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 at Bethesda Meadow Nursing Home, Ellisville, Missouri. Loving wife of Robert (Bob) Frese, mother of Christine F. Batson, grandmother "Sparky" of Angela Batson and Pamela (Todd) Derleth, and great-grandmother "Gigi" to Stella and Maximus Derleth.
Norma retired from Missouri State School and Hospital in the spring of 1982, and shared many happy years of retirement with her loving husband, Bob. Norma, along with her husband, enjoyed the theater, dancing, and going to dinner with their good friends from Perpetual Help Parish throughout her life. She participated in the Our Lady of Good Counsel Bowling Team, a couples Bowling Team at the Baden Lanes, the Women's Council, and a Canasta Club. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 385, and worked at the USO after retirement assisting the troops. After her husband's death, she traveled extensively with her very good friend, Minta, going on mystery trips across the county. Upon moving to West St. Louis County in 2001 to live with her daughter, she attended activities religiously at the West County Senior Center and L.O.A.P.'s, never missing a Bingo game. She remained active, participating in activities at the nursing home, and was the Queen of the Mardi Gras Parade in 2020. Norma treasured her family, and she loved spending time with and hearing all about the children's activities.
