Ogwin Leroy Tharp (Leroy), age 74, of St. Peters, Missouri went to Heaven, surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in St. Peters, Missouri. Leroy was born in Paragould, Arkansas on November, 9, 1946 to Sherman and Francis Tharp (nee Allison).
Leroy was married to his lifelong sweetheart, Rhenda Tharp. He loved his family, fishing, being outdoors, water skiing and all of his "fur babies".
Leroy worked for Emerson Electric for 43 years. In 1997, he was transferred St. Charles, Missouri as Director of Operations.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Rhenda; daughter, Leiah; and son, Michael.
He was preceded in death by Sherman Tharp, Francis Tharp, Peggy Abmeyer, Wanda Miller, Macil Tharp, Ginne Lyle, and Juan Maddux.
Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:30 am at First Baptist Church O'Fallon in O'Fallon, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Leroy can be made to Children's Miracle Network.
