Olive V. Lore, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on April 27, 1926, Olive lived a life rich in love, family, and vibrant experiences.
Olive was known for her fiery personality that endeared her to everyone she met. Her passion for life was evident in the way she embraced her interests, from her delightful embroidery creations to her avid consumption of romance novels. She found joy in every stitch and every story, which reflected her spirited nature.
Throughout her life, Olive shared countless memories with her husband, Donald Arch Lore, particularly enjoying their time together at ship reunions after he left the Navy. These moments solidified not only their bond but also created lasting friendships with those who shared similar experiences.
Olive took immense pride in her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was fiercely devoted to caring for her sons, Donald (Donna) Lore and Ronald (Georgia Kahler) Lore, and daughters, Judy (George) Springmeyer and Carol (Jeff) Wienecke. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her memory and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine W. Wolford; father, Robert L. Wolford; husband, Donald Arch Lore; and brothers, Leroy Wolford, John Wolford, Junior (Jean) Wolford, and Bill (Mary) Wolford. Olive's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.
Olive V. Lore's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her ability to bring joy and warmth to those around her. She will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
