Opal L. Bookout, age 89, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Florissant, Missouri. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on March 28, 1928 to the late Joe Bob and Laura (nee McCall) Ingram.
Opal was a beautician at JCPenney for 35 year until she retired. She was married to Cuby Bookout for 65 years. Opal enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for square dancing and traveling.
Opal is survived by her husband, Cuby L. Bookout of Florissant, MO; sons, Donald (Madaline) Bookout and Ronald L (Suzette) Bookout both of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Christopher (Erin) Bookout, Nathan Bookout, , Taylor Bookout, Michael Bookout, and Laura (Austin) Pashea Bookout; great-grandchildren, Lilly Bookout and Tommy Rath and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 10:00-12:00PM at Atonement Lutheran Church 1285 North New Florissant Rd. Florissant, Missouri 63031. Funeral service will take place at 12PM at the church. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery 1027 South 6th Street St. Charles, Missouri 63301.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association 9370 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63132 or online at www.act.alz.org.
