Patricia Frey

Patricia Frey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on February 11, 1958, Patricia led a life filled with love, enthusiasm, and an unwavering commitment to her family, making indelible memories that will be cherished forever.

Throughout her vibrant life, Patricia embraced her happiest retirement, dedicating her days to the passions she adored. She was an avid traveler, exploring new adventures while collecting stories and friendships along the way. Whether it was cooking elaborate meals for holiday gatherings or baking her famed chocolate chip cookies, her home was always a sanctuary of warmth and joy. Patricia had a special knack for creating a sense of belonging; her kitchen was a happy gathering place where her family could share laughter and stories over the delicious food she prepared with love.

Her love knew no bounds, extending not only to her children, Katherine and Joseph, but also welcoming her daughter-in-law, Stacey, into the fold, treating her as one of her own. Each family celebration was accompanied by her contagious smile, and she took immense pride in her granddaughter, Gabriella Holland, cherishing every moment spent together.

Described by all who knew her as loving and spunky, Patricia would go to great lengths for those she adored. Her fierce spirit meant that she wouldn't hesitate to “kick some butts” when it came to advocating for her family, ensuring they always felt supported and loved. Her role as a rock for her loved ones was evident, providing encouragement and strength to all around her.

Patricia enjoyed water aerobics, which complemented her lively personality, and she had a wonderful circle of friends with whom she shared countless enjoyable moments. An avid reader, she found solace in stories that transported her to other worlds, reflecting her spirit of adventure.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Guy Frey, her children, Katherine Frey and Joseph (Stacey) Frey; her granddaughter, Gabriella Holland; her sisters, Sharon (Tim) Talleur and Sue (Mike) Angelo; her brother, Jim (Penny) Shea; along with a host of other family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her radiant presence.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Shea, and her mother, Madelyn (Leonard) Eilmann. Her legacy of love and warmth will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

The visitation and funeral service will be held on January 3, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Friends and family are invited to honor and remember the remarkable woman Patricia was, celebrating her life with the love and joy she effortlessly spread to those around her.
