Patricia K. Smith

November 28, 1954 — December 27, 2017

Patricia Smith, 63, of O'Fallon, MO passed away on December 27, 2017. Patricia was born on November 28, 1954, to the late Edward and Wonita (Murphy) Hoeckelmann. On May 26, 1973, Patricia married the love of her life, Terry Smith. Patricia served as a nursing assistant for 33 years with the majority of this time at Good Shepherd Nursing Home which was owned by her parents and more recently at DePaul Hospital where she spent the last 16 years of her career.

Patricia enjoyed the many visits and telephone conversations with her close friends. She also had fun spending time camping, fishing, following her Cardinals and her favorite NASCAR drivers. However, nothing in her life gave her greater joy and happiness than her grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Along with her husband Terry, Patricia is survived by her 2 daughters, Tracy (Anthony) Leriche of O'Fallon and Amy Marie Brockman of St. Charles; 1 brother, Garry (Barbara) Hoeckelmann; and 6 grandchildren, Andrew Cline, Caitlyn Leriche, Summer Cline, Alison Leriche, Caden Brockman and Camryn Brockman; sister-in-law, Catherine Huff; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Along with her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Jr. and Larry Hoeckelmann; and son-in-law, Daniel Brockman.

Graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:15am. The family and friends will meet at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St Peters, MO 63376 at 10am to process to the cemetery.

Because of Patricia's love for children, memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of Missouri 13523 Barrett Pkwy Dr. #241 Ballwin, MO 63021 or online @ mo.wish.org.
