Patricia Sorrow

Patricia Faye Sorrow age 75, of Perryville, Missouri passed away on March 24, 2018, at Independence Care Center in Perryville with her grand-daughter Trisha Stortz at her side after an extended illness. She was born on October 14, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri. Pat was the daughter of Earl and Glena (Jarvis) Dixon.

Patricia married Thomas Sorrow on April 29, 1999. Their wedding was held in Framington, Missouri and conducted by Pat's step-father, Pastor Bert Brown of the Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her three sons, Vernon R. (Joy) Miller of Union, Missouri, Michael T. (Maria) Miller of St. Peters, Missouri and Robert J. (Melissa) LaMar of Bloomfield, Missouri; daughter, Gwena J. (Jerry) Sutterer of Perryville, Missouri; and sister, Donna DeShaney of St. Louis, Missouri. Pat also left behind thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sorrow; son, John R. Miller; step-son, Mark Yamnitz; step-father, Bert Brown and two brothers, William and Gary Dixon.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 11:00 to 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive., St. Peters. Funeral services will be conducted immediately after visitation at 1:30 pm at Newcomers with Deacon Peter Gounis officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
