Paula Jeanette Schwerzler, age 54, of Saint Charles, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 7, 2021. Paula was born on December 14, 1966 in Kennett, MO. She was the daughter of Clifford and Elaine (Elliott) Cossey. On April 26, 1986, she married the love of her life John A Schwerzler.
For over a decade, Paula served as a life-skills teacher at Emmaus Homes. In 2005 Paula received her Bachelor's Degree in computer programming from Hickey College. After her graduation she worked as an office manger at ABC Chem-Dry. She was also an active member of the American Heart Association, Diabetes Association and the Kidney Foundation.
Paula left an indelible fingerprint on those lives she touched. She was always there for her family as a teacher, a friend and a shoulder to lean on when times were hard. She was compassionate, kind and generous; a person that would do anything for anyone. Paula was her family's "personal chef," "chauffeur" and sometimes a "therapist." She had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that could light-up a room. She was a strong women with an incredibly soft heart who was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Along with her unwavering husband John, Paula leaves behind a living legacy that includes her loving daughter, Christine E. (Matt) Schreiber of St. Peters; mother, Elaine Cossey of Oakridge, MO; sister, Amy St. John of Humble, TX; grandsons, Alexander J. and Eli John A. Schreiber; granddaughter, Lillian E. Schreiber. Paula also leaves behind her beloved dog Lucy. Paula was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Cossey.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO. Funeral services will immediately the visitation at 7:00 PM. A cremation will be conducted at a later date.
