Paula Marie Smith, age 82, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born in Wood River, Illinois on January 2, 1942 to Ernest and Pauline Falica (nee Tucker).
Paula Marie was married George Henry for 56 years until his passing in 2017. Together they raised two children, loving their grandkids and great-grandkids.
Paula loved shopping, baking, casino-trips, weekly get-togethers with her sisters, and sleepovers with long talks with her great-granddaughter Madison. After George’s passing, Paula made the decision to move in with her daughter; they shared a bond like no other. Paula Marie “Gigi” will forever be greatly loved and missed.
Paula is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Michelle (Jim) Wunderlich; son, Michael (Jo) Smith; five grandchildren, Alexandria Wunderlich, James Wunderlich, Isabella Wunderlich, Lyndsie (Mike) Honeycutt, Zachary (Abby) Smith; six great-grandchildren, Madison Wunderlich, Presley Wunderlich, Jovie Smith, Vivian Smith, Gloria Smith, Josephine Honeycutt; two siblings, Judy (Alf) Goodman, Peggy (Tom) Connell; sister-in-law, Stella Smith; brother-in-law, Art (Liz) Smith; niece, Elizabeth; nephews, Mark, Steve, Jimmy, Clyde, and Matt and all of their families; loving dog, Margaret; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith; father, Ernest Paul Falica; mother, Pauline Virginia Falica; and brother-In-Law, John Smith.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:30 am at St. Peters Chapel at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with a committal service immediately following at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
