Paula Stephens

Paula Marie Stephens, age 79 of Wildwood, Missouri went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 2, 2024. She was born in Wheaton, MO on February 11, 1945, to Paul and Marjorie Wiland.

Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved her family with all her heart. She was an accomplished pianist and loved playing the piano and organ at church. Paula had an angelic presence, was compassionate, loving, always a lady, inspired others with her faith, and loved to laugh and have fun with her family. She was adored by her grandchildren, and she doted on each and every detail in their lives. 

She was a powerful prayer warrior who wanted to point others to Christ every opportunity she had. Her faith was a pillar in her life that gave her strength, and her most beautiful testimony is her faith never wavering despite her serious health challenges over the years up until her death, trusting God in all circumstances!

Paula loved God’s creation and enjoyed going to the beach any time she could, listening to the waves and loved watching all the beautiful birds God created in her backyard! 

Paula is survived by her loving and devoted husband Leroy Stephens, daughters Beth (Michael Sr.) Richardson, Jill Khan, Anne (Jeff) Gentemann, Lea (Donald John, Jr.) Denby; her grandsons, Michael Richardson, Jr., Donald John Denby,III, Andrew Gentemann, Luke Denby; granddaughters, Maria Khan, Lauren Richardson, Hannah Denby, Sarah Khan, Julia Denby; sister, Alice (Ed) Johns and brothers, Phillip (Linda) Wiland and Matt (Shawn) Wiland; sisters in law and brother in law, Pam (Steve) Cress, Kathie (Jim) Decocq, Jim (Mary) Riley and nieces and nephews that she adored. She loved all her family with passion and prayed for us fervently. We are so very thankful for the gift of her in our lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Marjorie Wiland.
