Florissant

Paula Ann Wahby (Nee Atterburry) passed away on September 24th, 2024. She was born in St. Louis on July 8th, 1948 to Elizabeth “Betty” Lee (Nee Smith) where she resided most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence “Mike” Wahby who she was married to for 45 happy years. She was a loving mother to her two children Michael (Tara) and Amy Wahby, and a proud grandmother to her granddaughters Sara and Madelyn Wahby. She was also a caring cat mom to Jade and Nova. She worked in the phonebook industry for more than 30 years for EKI, TALX and finished her career at World Pages. Paula was a compassionate friend and known as “Mama Wahby” and “Grandma P” to many. So Many found comfort in her inspiring and funny facebook posts that showcased her character and ability to make others smile.

Throughout the course of her life Paula enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, and crafting. She could frequently be found with a cup of coffee, a book, a group of friends and a smile. Above all else, her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. Paula knew no strangers and will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
