Pena Lea Hagen, age 65, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on May 21, 1959 to Wendel and Alice McClaskey (nee Britton).
Pena worked for Southwestern Bell of St. Louis for over 25 years. She was happily married to James Hagen.
Pena was an avid singer, and pianist. She was active in her high school, church choir, and various academic clubs. During her childhood, Pena grew up on a dairy farm in Arkansas City where she learned incredible work and moral ethics. She later relocated to Missouri where she raised her children. She loved to cook for family and friends. As well as planting flowers every spring. Pena was a very caring person who always put other people's needs above her own. Above everything she loved family and friends, and always had an open door and open heart with them.
Pena is survived by her three sons, Jason Hagen, Christopher Hagen, Sean Hagen; daughter, Lindy (Clark) Nygaard of Fortuna, ND; eleven grandchildren, Jason Lee Hagen, Abbey Hagen, Justin (Katelyn Dodson) Hagen, Liberty Hagen, Ivy Davis, Sophie Corbett, Madelyn Nygaard, Vivian Nygaard, Seth Corbett, Sam Hagen, Anders Nygaard; four great-grandchildren, Ellie Otting, Harper Hagen, Zaylor Hagen, Lylah Hagen; brother, Floyd (Janice) McClaskey; two nephews, Mark (Amanda) McClaskey, Brian McClaskey; niece Lanna (Shawn) Rains, and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hagen; father, Wendel M. McClaskey; mother, Alice Joan McClaskey.
A visitation will be held on July 10th from 10am until 11am, at the St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the visitation at 11am at the St. Peters Chapel.
