Peter Edward Yallaly, 61 of Palatine Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 1st, 2024.

He was born to the late Stephen and Patricia Yallaly on January 9th 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Peter graduated from University of Missouri with a Master of Science in Molecular Biology.

Peter worked as a forensic technician at the St. Louis City Police Department and later at the Northern Illinois Police Crime Laboratory, where he was instrumental in implementing a DNA laboratory which was accredited by the FBI for forensic testing. He later worked for several private sector biomedical companies as a Field Service Engineer, which took him places all throughout the world. His career gave him the ability to accrue millions of airline miles, hotel points, and other travel benefits of which he often shared with those he loved. His passion for travel often brought him to Europe, where he enjoyed visiting museums, Cathedrals and religious shrines. Peter enjoyed jazz music, classic movies, fine wine, and baking.

Peter is survived by his brother Stephen (Lori) Yallaly of St. Peters, Missouri, his niece Claire (Jessica) Yallaly of St. Charles, Missouri, and nephew Joe Yallaly of St. Peters, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Patricia Yallaly, brother Michael Yallaly, and life partner Mike Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service. Visitation will be held at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish from 9am-10am, Saturday April 20th. Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10am, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, Missouri.
