Pietro "Pete" Orlando

Pietro "Pete" Orlando, age 84, of O'Fallon, Missouri. Lord Jesus called him home on Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 29, 1936 to Guiseppe and Agatha "Lena" Orlando (nee Palazzolo).

Pete was married to Sherry for 62 years. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years. Pete and Sherry enjoyed traveling, and installing Artist Guild Shows. He loved to play all different sports including: wrestling, baseball and golf. In the 50s he managed the Orlando Brother's Baseball Team. After his wrestling career, Pete started to referee high school and college wrestling tournaments. He was president of the Joe Swent Golf League for many years. He also served on the board of Piepers Glen Owner's Association.

Pete is survived by his wife, Sherry Orlando; his daughter, Cristie R. (Jeff) Ryan, and his brothers, Jim (Myrtle Ann) Orlando, and John Orlando (Donna went to the Lord last year). He will be missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guiseppe and Agatha "Lena" Orlando; and his siblings, Bonnie Orlando, Nina Damico, Willie Orlando, Mike Orlando, Joe Orlando, Sam Orlando, Vera Bean, Leo Orlando, Frank Orlando, Angie Hawkshaw, and Dominic Orlando.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with a service to follow at 12:00 pm both on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery on Saint Charles Rock Road in St Ann.

For the safety of everyone, masks are required along with social distancing.
