Preston Wester

Preston "Del" Wester, age 76, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 13, 1945 to Preston and Lena Wester (nee Markum).

Del is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Wester (nee McDonnell); daughters, Sheri (Rick) Wootten, Lorie (Mark) Santel, and Jessica (Shawn) Sexton; grandchildren, Nicholas Wootten, Taylor (Josh) Gwaltney, Abbigail (Matthew) Shepard, Brandon Santel, Kearsten Sexton, and Clara Sexton. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Eugene Wester and Lena Mae (John) Robinson; brothers, Jack Wester, Dennie Wester, Randy Wester, Kelvin Wester, and Roger Wester.

Del enjoyed many things but especially loved being surrounded by his family, being outdoors, gardening and any kind of house project. He was a hard worker and perfectionist who always wanted to teach you the correct way to do things. Those who knew him would agree he was a gentle simple man. Del was dearly loved by countless friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
