R. Kent Young
March 14, 1943 — February 26, 2016
R. Kent Young , 72, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on February 26, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake St. Louis, MO.
He was with General Motors, working there for 31 years, and retiring as Fire Chief. Kent was also an Air Force Veteran serving from 1963-1966.
Roy was born on March 14, 1943, Marion, Illinois to the late Frank and Ruth (Saylor) Young.
Roy is survived by his Wife Mrs. Christi .(Hesse) Young; Daughters, Melissa (David)Gretsy, and Karen (Jim)Young; Sisters, Sharon (Max)Lude, Sister, Karen (Blaine)Batts, and 5 Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday March 7, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters MO with Pastor Robert Feeler officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 2:30 PM Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO.
