Raymond M. Ehle, a beloved figure whose legacy will resonate deeply within the hearts of many, passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 28, 1945. He grew up on Lake Michigan just north of Chicago. Raymond lived a life rich with family, career, and passions that spanned the globe
Raymond was a self-taught engineer who dedicated over 50 years of his life to Boeing, where he garnered respect for his exceptional knowledge, particularly regarding the landing gear of various aircraft, including the notable F-15. His expertise took him around the world, and he took great pride in the work he accomplished during his distinguished career.
An avid outdoorsman, Raymond cherished the moments spent volunteering with the Boy Scouts alongside his children and grandchildren. His love for the outdoors extended to activities such as bowling, golfing. Additionally, he found immense joy in scuba diving, often traveling to Bonaire, a destination he held dear for his underwater adventures. He enjoyed playing poker with friends.
Raymond's commitment to his family was unwavering. He is survived by his sons, Andrew MacLean Ehle and Sean Gregory Ehle; daughter-in-law, Victoria Diane Ehle; four grandchildren, Donovan Matthew (Madison) Ehle, Kaitlyn Rae Ehle, Haley MacLean Ehle, and Sean Jeffrey (Jill) Dunn; and two great-grandchildren, Paisley Kay Ehle and Blake Elizabeth Ehle. He also leaves behind his brother, Daniel (Barb) Ehle, and a host of other family members and friends who will always remember his kindness and warmth.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Raymond Ehle; his father, Archie MacLean Ehle; his mother, Dorothy Agnes Ehle; his brother, James Ehle; and his sister, Susan (James) Petty.
A visitation in honor of Raymond will be held on January 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate the remarkable life of a man who dedicated himself to both his profession and his loved ones, and who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
