Raymond L. Hanley

December 13, 1941 — February 16, 2024

Raymond L. Hanley of O'Fallon, MO passed away at the age of 82 on February 16, 2024 from liver cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hanley and Lerah Kellums; his sister, Marilynn Woolridge.

He is survived by his three children: Wayne Hanley (Elizabeth), Yvonne Hanley-Borchardt (Dale), and Christine Caguin (Michael); his grandsons: Michael Hanley and Corbin Caguin; his bonus granddaughters: Amber Davis and Hayley Burgos. He is also survived by his former wife, Janet Y. Layman.

Raymond was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He graduated from Mizzou with both a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1973 and a Master of Education in 1975. He was a musician, a teacher, and retired as a purchasing agent from St. Louis Community College. He loved woodworking and industrial arts. He also loved his daily walks!

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Salvation Army or WAC Industries.

A private service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125
