Raymond Honse, age 88, of St. Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. He was born in Vienna, Missouri on May 12, 1932 to Carl and Myrtle Honse (nee Crum).
Raymond was a Korean War veteran where he served in the Army and was stationed in Japan. After returning from the war, he met his wife of 64 years Joyce. Raymond attended school at Washington University where he studied engineering and worked for McDonnell Douglas as an Aerospace Engineer until his retirement. Raymond loved to study the Bible and lead Bible study groups into his golden years until his age prevented it. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles and greatly enjoyed the friendships of the congregation. Raymond's greatest passion was building and woodworking, his ingenuity has led to the creation of many beautiful pieces of furniture that will be cherished for many generations.
Raymond is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce Honse; his daughter, Linda (Wayne) Ingram; his grandchildren, Serena (Scott) Mooney, Daniel (Heidi) Ingram, and Alaina Ingram; his great-grandchildren, Madeline Mooney and Aidan Mooney; his brother, Bill (Linda) Honse; and his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Honse. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Myrtle Honse; his sister, Shirley (Leroy) Nixon; and his brothers, Gerald (Maddie) Honse and Daniel Honse.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid
Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Smith Stevenson Cemetery in Dexter, MO.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, face coverings and social distancing is required at all funeral events.
